Join us for the last PTA meeting of the year and our annual Ice Cream Social! We have had a fabulous year teaming up with you and want to celebrate. We look forward to a great year next year! Thanks for all you have done to make this a special year for our Bears.
Victory Lakes will be there with spirit shirts for our outgoing 5th graders.
Do not forget about the Buy-One-Get-One Book Fair this week! We will have extended hours for our End of the Year Ice Cream Social, on Thursday. See you there!
Attention Bears! The Fun Run will start at 4:45 pm on Friday due to the possibility of rain. Get your running shoes on first!
Don’t forget to join us for our Fun Run and Bicycle and Health Safety Fair, tomorrow, April 20th.
The PTA is also hosting a few extra booths. We will have our carnival Silly String War Booth set up by the track. We will be selling silly string for $2 a can. We will also have a School Store Booth where we will be selling school spirit items and the new Bauerschlag koozies for $4 a koozie or 3 for $10. You get a free bottle of water with koozie purchase. We have a few cases of Coca-Cola left over from carnival and that will be on sale for .50 a can.

On April 17 there is a fundraiser at Red River barbeque for Bauerschlag teacher Lisa Owens. She was diagnosed with cancer right before spring break and the fundraiser is to help defray her medical costs. Cost is $12 for a plate of food and raffle tickets are 5 for $20.

The popular Bear-a-thon Fun Run is back and this year we are pairing it with activities that encourage our bears to practice healthy habits, bicycle safety, and other fun activities.
Come out for a great community event and help encourage our bears to stay “Beary Fit!”

If your students take at home tests for ARP, please know that the home testing program ends on January 3rd. Have them take advantage of the last days of home testing! Get those points in!

Bear Fun Fest
Saturday, November 12th
10 am – 2 pm
There are many ways to help and still enjoy the carnival!
We are asking for donations of 12 packs of Coke products: Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, Mr. Pibb, A&W Rootbeer and Dasani water (the school is under contract with Coca-Cola.)
We also need volunteers to take 1 hour shifts in our booths. You’d be surprised how quickly an hour goes by! Contact April at aprilshreve@verizon.net and she can get you into a spot. We have student volunteers this year but we still need adults to help.
Tickets and wristbands will be available by pre-order or on the day of the carnival. Pre-orders will be sent home in a sealed envelope with your student as the orders are filled.
