Congrats to Donna Brown (our Literacy Coach) and Blythe Brown (teacher), and Volunteers Amanda Mark, Kristi Wright and Alicia McConnell for their commitment and dedication to our kids through supporting the PTA this year! They each were nominated by staff and the PTA membership for their hard work. Thank for your service and all that you do!
The last General PTA Meeting of the year will be on May 20th, at 6:30. We will also be giving the last set of Character Trait Awards, we will be awarding the readers and we’ll have an Ice Cream Social. Come and join us!
As Bauerschlag Elementary PTA members, we need your input! This year the PTA has the opportunity to purchase items for the school with funds raised by the carnival. The items selected for purchase are based on suggestions by you, and are for the benefit of our students and school. They should be used to further a PTA’s educational purposes in the areas of the arts, health and physical fitness, literature and language, mathematics, science and technology. Examples of items purchased in the past are:
Accucut Die Cutting Machine
Puppet Theater (The Arts)
Visiting author fees
Lumens Projectors (Technology)
Library books (Literature and Language)
Running Track (Health & Physical Fitness)
Incubators (Science)
Science supplies (Consumables)
The more input and suggestions we receive, the better we can serve the students, parents and teachers of Bauerschlag Elementary PTA. Please write your suggestions and rank priorities below and return this form to the PTA mailbox by Friday, April 30, 2010. The Bauerschlag PTA is hosting a Staff Appreciation Luncheon on Friday,March 5th. We will be serving homemade soups, salad and desserts. We are asking for the help of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade parents – both in donations, as well as set-up through clean-up.
Email hospitality@bauerschlagpta.org if you would like to sign up to bring a Homemade Soup, Homemade dessert, lemons, butter (the real thing!), white bowls or spoons.
Please include your name, email and phone number when you sign up.
Salad is graciously being provided by one of our great community sponsors, Pappas Seafood House.
Your help is needed and greatly appreciated!
Please have all donated items at the school no later than 9:45am on Friday, March 5.
If you have an hour to voluneer, here are some ideas/ways
you can get involved.
We need volunteers for set-up from 4-7 PM on Friday.
We need volunteers to set-up from 7-9:00 AM on Saturday. Really need some parents with drills to put together the games and move them out into the field.
We need volunteers to help with the auction and games- if you have some extra time or have a teenager who needs volunteer hours check-in at the volunteer booth anytime between 9:30 and 1:30 and we will place you.
We need donations of cakes, cupcakes (3 to a plate), and cookies for the Sweet Treats Walk. (Please label if nuts are used)
We need donations of Coke products (Coke, Diet Coke, Root Beer, Sprite, etc.) and water- You will receive 4 tickets for each 12-pack donated and be entered into a drawing for $30 worth of carnival tickets.
We need cookies, cakes and cupcakes packaged for the cake walk. Goodies can be dropped off at the school Friday all day and in the cafeteria after school until 7 pm or bring Saturday.
We still need donations of coke, diet coke, sprite, root beer and water. Mark with your child’s name and teacher’s name.
Come check out the auction items in the library on Friday and all next week during lunch. Presale tickets are available before school from now until the Carnival.
